Every day I wake up in the moment with a strange feeling. It’s not fear, but maybe understanding that the situation that is happening right now should happen long time ago. Everyone was expecting some global crisis, the end of the world without some understanding what and exactly it will happen. I don’t want to say that this is better than a global war, but it gives you time to stop and think about the most important in your life and things /people we often don’t appreciate enough. How many people you know that live next to the beach and don’t have time / wish to go there? How many times did you go out in the nature without your smart phone, laptop, even cigarettes…? Take this as a great opportunity to do all what you always schedule for later, to be with closest for you people, to smell the grass… The smell is so fresh and sweet better than every perfume in the world, but you start to notice and appreciate something / someone only when you loose it…
The hysteria of consumption has brought us to the edge. Things, things, even more things. Things that are not needed. Things we’ll throw away tomorrow. Things for the sake of production and disposal of which we lose clean air, water, earth. Even a couple of months of production decline, canceled flights and closed borders and the planet breathed easier. Yes, it’s not convenient for us. But still, let us rejoice for our Mother Earth. She worked hard for us and definitely deserved a respite. ⠀
We are mired in the net. Dissolved in our gadgets. Drowned in cyber space. It became a habit to sms with a friend whom I could meet for coffee. The norm was couples sitting opposite each other, each buried in his iPhone. Digital dependency peaked. How to defeat it? Taking away live communication. When the world says: sit in your social networks to a dime, communicate in instant messengers and only instant messengers, nothing else shines for you now, you start to dream of live meetings! About human communication eye to eye!
Soon we will want to stop posting the story of the forest / sea / streets and just want to walk around these places soaking them with every pore of the skin … we will start to feel again, we will want to communicate again! ⠀
The truth will come out. We can’t lie yourself any longer . Left at home, locked with the closest people, you will understand how close they are to you? Have you connected your life with the right people? Left without “hated work” you will get precious time and freedom of creativity.
How do you use it?
Will you appreciate more the time with your family and children? Will you appreciate more the time that you have never had time to spend outside in the nature?
Do you remember your last time when you was walking on the sandy beach with your naked feet, feeling the sun over your head? What is the feeling of a warm, salty water when you get into the sea, the sand poring between your fingers? It’s amazing, isn’t it? The feeling of freedom and Summer, vacation days and something more that makes your soul feel alive. You try to run , but it is difficult. You want to do something crazy, something that makes you feel even more alive….
And what if you share this moment with someone that makes your heart warm and beating? Some romantic moments cannot be described, you can only feel and see them….
I like to feel like a small crazy child, doing everything what I want to do…. When was the last time when you climbed a tree or used a swing? When was the last time when you jumped a rope or painted the asphalt? Now you have time for all this and if you are too ashamed to do something crazy, you can always pretend doing it with/because of your child 😉
You will see, that you can always browse each moment of your life from the bad or best side (like now) , to see problems or opportunities. If you have never had troubles and problems, how you can appreciate the best moments in your live?
Use the moment now and do something crazy, even in your house, with your children or the loved ones, give the best of yourselves and remember these moments forever….
Will you finally start writing a novel / learning Japanese / squat / make your dream come true! To do what “oh, I would like that, but I can’t/ don’t have time because of my work.”
A great equation or even shuffling the deck will occur. In the face of the virus, everyone is equal: both the president and the worker. A poor student may not even notice that he was sick.
